Château Gâteaux Win a Trip to Paris– TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Promoter and Competition Overview

1.1. This promotional competition (“Competition”) is run by Château Gâteaux South Africa (Pty) Ltd , registration number 1999/014744/07, with its registered office at 1 Imvubupark Close, Riverhorse Valley Business Estate, Effingham, Durban, South Africa (“the Promoter”).
1.2. By entering the Competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, which are available on the Château Gâteaux competitions page at: https://chateaugateaux.co.za/terms-conditions. These Terms and Conditions will be interpreted by the Promoter whose decision regarding any dispute will be final and binding.
1.3. The Competition will run from 12 May 2025 to midnight 31 July 2025, inclusive. Entries received after the closing date will not be considered.

2. Eligibility

2.1. The Competition is open to legal residents of South Africa, aged 18 years or older at the time of entry.
2.2. The following persons are excluded from entering:

• Employees, directors, agents, and consultants of the Promoter and their immediate family members.
• Any person who has won a prize valued at R1,000 or more in a competition conducted by the Promoter in the last 6 months.

3. How to Enter

A. Purchase-Based Entry
3.1. Buy any participating Large or Medium Château Gâteaux Cake product(s) from any Château Gâteaux Patisserie during the Competition period.
3.2. Download or use the Château Gâteaux loyalty app.
3.3. Complete the registration process and opt into the competition section.
3.4. Scan your app in-store when purchasing eligible products for automatic entry.
B. Bonus Social Media Entry
3.5 Use the Château Gâteaux AR Filter on TikTok or IG and pronounce Château Gâteaux then tag us on Facebook/Instagram or TikTok,
3.6. Follow one of our Château Gâteaux pages on Facebook/Instagram or TikTok.

4. Prizes

4.1. The winner will receive grand prize of A Trip for two to Paris worth R100 000 (One hundred thousand Rand)
4.2. For travel prizes:

• Winners must hold a valid passport with a minimum of 6 months validity at the time of travel.
• The prize excludes costs such as visa applications, travel insurance, or any personal expenses.

4.3. If the stated prize is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute it with a prize of equal value, subject to availability and applicable regulations. The travel partner will consult with the winner before finalising the replacement.
4.4. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be converted to cash.

5. Winner Selection and Notification

5.1. Winners will be chosen via a random draw conducted on 4 August 2025.
5.2. Winners will be notified via email address and phone number used to register for the Château Gâteaux Loyalty App and must respond within 72 hours.
5.3. Winners may be required to provide:

• Valid identification.
• Proof of purchase (if required).
• A signed release form and consent to publish their name for publicity purposes.

5.4. If a winner fails to meet the requirements or cannot be reached after three call attempts, the Promoter reserve the right to replace them with an alternative Participant.

6. Disqualification and Invalid Entries

6.1. Entries will be disqualified if:

• Submitted after the closing date.
• The entrant has not complied with these Terms and Conditions.
• The purchase receipt or code is invalid, illegible, or tampered with.
• The entry was generated by automated means or bots.

7. Limitation of Liability

7.1. The Promoter will not be responsible for:

• Any loss or damage suffered by the entrant due to technical failures, network issues, or system errors.
• Any delay or failure to deliver the prize resulting from incorrect contact details supplied by the entrant.

8. Personal Data and Privacy

8.1. Personal information will be processed by the Promoter and its partners solely for the purpose of administering the Competition and in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
8.2. By entering this Competition, all entrants authorise the Promoter, to collect, store and use (not share) the personal information of entrants for communication or statistical purposes.
8.3. The Promoter will not share participant data with third parties, except where necessary to fulfil the prize or required by law. By accessing any Prizes, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and by participating in this Competition you consent to us sharing your data with our reward partners and affiliates for purposes relating to the operation of the Competition, including (without limitation) fulfilling of rewards issued to Participants. “Affiliates” means, any entity controlling, controlled by or under common control with the Promoter and suppliers for purposes of this Competition.
8.4. Participants may contact the Promoter to request access to, correction, or deletion of their personal data.
8.5. Participant data will be retained for a period of 3 years after the Competition ends for audit and record purposes, unless otherwise required by law.
8.6. The Winner or Participants may be requested to take part in publicity for broadcast or publishing purposes. The Winner and Participants have the right to expressly decline the request to take part in such publicity. Should the Winner or Participants agree to take part in any publicity, they will not be entitled to any payment or other remuneration for such publicity or otherwise. All publicity and other materials will be the sole property of Château Gâteaux

9. Social Media and Platform Disclaimers

9.1. This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok. By entering, participants release these platforms from any liability arising from the Competition.

10. General

10.1. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions or cancel the Competition at any time, provided that such changes are not made unfairly or retroactively.
10.2. All decisions made by the Promoter regarding this Competition are final and binding.
10.3. The laws of South Africa apply to this Competition, and participants agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
