Terms and Conditions for the Château Gâteaux x Glamour Galentine’s Campaign

Campaign Period: 10 February 2025 – 24 February 2025

Prize Draw Date: 25 February 2025

1. Introduction

1.1. These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern the Château Gâteaux x Glamour Galantines Campaign (“the Competition”) run by Château Gâteaux Pty Ltd (“Château Gâteaux” or “the Promoter”).

1.2. The Competition is open from 11 February 2025 to 24 February 2025 (“Competition Period”).

1.3. The Promoter reserves the right to amend the Competition Period or prize details, provided any changes comply with applicable laws.

2. Who Can Enter?

2.1. The Competition is only open to legal residents of South Africa aged 18 years or older.

2.2. The following persons may not enter:

• 2.2.1. Employees, directors, members, or agents of Château Gâteaux and their affiliated companies.
• 2.2.2. Individuals directly involved in advertising, promotions, or judging of the Competition.
• 2.2.3. Immediate family members (spouses, parents, siblings, or children) of the above persons.

3. Acceptance

3.1. By participating in the Competition, entrants accept and agree to be bound by:

• 3.1.1. These Terms and Conditions, which can be viewed at www.chateaugateaux.co.za.
• 3.1.2. The provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 (“CPA”) insofar as they apply to the Competition.

4. How to Enter

4.1. To enter, Participants must:

• 4.1.1. Purchase a Ruby Raspberry Cake with complimentary sprinkles from any Château Gâteaux store during the Competition Period.
• 4.1.2. Scan their Château Gâteaux loyalty card via the Château Gâteaux Loyalty App at the time of purchase.
• 4.1.3. Participants who do not have the app must download and register before entering.

4.2. Participants may enter multiple times, provided each entry follows the required process.

4.3. Château Gâteaux is not responsible for lost, late, or incomplete entries due to technical errors.

5. Prize Details

5.1. One (1) winner will receive two (2) tickets to the Glamour Galantines Event on 27 February 2025, at the Vaagh Restaurant, 110 Victoria Avenue, Parkmore, Sandton, 2196.

5.2. The Prize excludes:

• 5.2.1. Accommodation
• 5.2.2. Transportation to and from the event
• 5.2.3. Any additional expenses at the event

5.3. Prizes cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash or alternative rewards.

6. Winner Selection & Notification

6.1. The winner selection will take place on 25 February 2025 and will be randomly drawn from all valid entries.

6.2. The winner will be notified via the email address used to register for the Château Gâteaux Loyalty App on 25 February 2025.

6.3. The winner must confirm acceptance of the Prize within 24 hours. If they fail to do so, an alternative winner will be selected.

6.4. Château Gâteaux reserves the right to verify the eligibility of winners before awarding prizes.

7. Liability & Disqualification

7.1. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who:

• 7.1.1. Violates these Terms.
• 7.1.2. Engages in fraudulent activities.
• 7.1.3. Tampers with the entry process.

8. Château Gâteaux is not responsible for:

• 8.1. Any loss or damage suffered by Participants as a result of entering the Competition, unless due to gross negligence by the Promoter.
• 8.2. Any liability for entries or purchases that are incomplete, illegible, received after the Closing Date, or not received at all.
• 8.3. Any costs and expenses incurred by Participants in respect of any entries or purchases.
• 8.4. The Participant waives any claim against Château Gâteaux and indemnifies it against all claims, liabilities, losses, or expenses.

9. Data Protection & Privacy

9.1. By entering, Participants consent to Château Gâteaux collecting and processing personal information for the Competition.

9.2. The Winner or Participants may be requested to take part in publicity. They have the right to decline.

9.3. In accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), 2013:

• 9.3.1. Personal data will be stored securely for 3 years as required by law.
• 9.3.2. Data will not be shared with third parties, except where required.
• 9.3.3. Participants may request access, correction, or deletion of their data.

10. Marketing Consent

10.1. If Participants opt into marketing, they agree to receive promotional messages.

10.2. Participants may opt out at any time.

11. General

11.1. All queries regarding the Competition should be directed to customercare@chateaugateaux.co.za.

11.2. These Terms are governed by South African law.

11.3. Château Gâteaux reserves the right to amend these Terms.
