Terms and Conditions for the Cake Bite Promotion, 2025

1. Introduction

1.1 These terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) govern the Cake Bite Promotion, 2025 (“the Promotion”) which is organised and operated by Château Gâteaux (“Château Gâteaux”).
1.2 The Promotion commences on 01 January 2025 and endures until 31 December 2025 (“the Promotional Period”). However, the promoter reserves the right to amend the promotional period and/or product offering within the promotional period.

2. Acceptance

2.1 By participating in the Promotion, entrants accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. A copy of the Terms and Conditions is available on the Château Gâteaux Facebook page and at www.chateaugateaux.co.za.
2.2 Participants accept that the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 (“CPA”) apply to the Promotion.

3. Terms and Conditions of Participation

The Promotion is limited to South African residents aged 18 and older, excluding:
• Employees and affiliates of Château Gâteaux and its subsidiaries.
• Consultants and advertising agencies working with the Group.
• Immediate family members of such persons.

4. Participation Rules

4.1 Participants must:
• Purchase any regular Hot Beverage (espresso, americano, cappuccino, or tea) for sit-down customers at a Château Gâteaux store between 08:00 and 10:00, Monday to Friday.
• Upon purchase, the customer will receive one complimentary Cake Bite.
• Participants will earn loyalty points for the Hot Beverage purchased.
• There is no limit to participation over the Promotional Period.
4.2 Château Gâteaux reserves the right to deny participation if fraudulent activity is suspected.
4.3 Any breaches of the Terms and Conditions may result in disqualification.

5. Liability Disclaimer

5.1 Château Gâteaux is not liable for late or lost entries due to technical errors.
5.2 Participants waive any claims against Château Gâteaux regarding the Promotion.
5.3 If liability cannot be excluded, Château Gâteaux’s maximum liability is the cost of one Château Gâteaux Cake Bite.

6. Personal Information and Publicity

Participants consent to Château Gâteaux storing and using their personal information for promotion-related purposes.
All data will be securely stored for three years per the CPA.
Participants may be requested to take part in publicity but can decline.

7. Marketing

By opting in, Participants consent to receiving promotional content. They may opt out by replying “STOP” or clicking an unsubscribe link.
